Jesus said that we are truly his disciples if we abide in his word, and if so, “we will know the truth, and the truth will set us free.” But what does it mean to accurately abide in God’s word? It may shock us to know that there are ways to read the word of God but misunderstand it and misapply it. How then can we study to interpret the Scriptures as God would want us to understand them? This class seeks to be a guide for reading, studying, and applying the Scriptures for all their worth. This kind of study is better known as biblical hermeneutics. We want you to have the tools that Scripture gives us in order to understand a passage in context, identify proper themes and illustrations, and find Christ on every page.
